After-School, Camps and Classes for Children Ages Pre-K to 5th Grade
Summer Camp 2025!
This summer First Camp is offering a variety of engaging themes. Camp hours are 8:30am to 5:30pm with an option of 5 days for $310 or 3 days for $190 (you may select the days, days cannot be substituted). Some weeks have an extra charge for an additional (optional) field trip.
Note: An additional $10 has been added to camp tuition for required T-shirt (required for field trips and Glenlake Park on Tuesdays).
Summer Camp Descriptions for 2025 (Ages 5-12)
Summer Camp Basics
Drop Off/Pick Up Times:
Camp Hours: 8:30am to 5:30pm
We ask that campers arrive by 9:30am
Last pick up at 5:30pm
What to Bring:
Certificate of vision, hearing, dental, and nutrition screening form 3300
A copy of the 3231 immunization is required
Camp T-shirt (required for field trips and Glenlake Park)
Packed lunch that does not require heating or refrigeration
Reusable water bottle
Note: Please do not send any nut products with your child for lunch
Spray or stick sunscreen & bug repellent, write family name on bottle
A change of clothes for young campers ages 5 to 6
Daily Schedule:
8:30am – Doors open
9:30am – Camp morning activities begin
10:00am – Morning snack (provided by First Camp)
12:30pm – Lunch
1:00pm – Recreation time
2:00pm – Afternoon Activities begin
3:00pm – Afternoon Snack (provided by First Camp)
3:30pm - Small group activities (teacher directed)
4:30pm – Recreation time
5:30pm – Final pickup
Weekly Schedule:
Tuesday - Swim Day at Glenlake Park, 1121 Church Street, Decatur, GA 30030.
Tuesdays we will begin departing First Camp at 9:30am and return to camp at 12:00pm.

Allergies
It is necessary for us to be aware of any dietary needs, allergies or illnesses. Please take care to fill out the Medical and Special Needs portions of the digital enrollment form. If medication is required during camp hours, a separate digital form must be completed.

NOTE: Some classes may not be open for registration. Add you email to our mailing list for updates on when to register for programs, camps and classes offered throughout the year.
Location
Our camps are located in downtown Decatur at 308 Clairemont Avenue, Decatur, Georgia 30030 at First Baptist Church Decatur in the Activities Building (behind the Education Building/near baseball field). Areas available for camps are the baseball field, a large playground, an inside gym, a large games room, craft room, kitchen area, and several other classrooms. Because of the multiple play areas available, age groups, as well as different activities, are separated ensuring the safety of all campers.

5 days for $310 or 3 days for $190 plus a processing fee (you may select the days, days cannot be substituted). Some weeks have an extra charge for an additional (optional) field trip.

8:30am – 5:30pm
Please have your child arrive by 9:30am in order to begin the activities on time. Our afternoon activities end by 3:30pm.

Snacks and Lunch
All campers should bring a packed lunch and 2 snacks that do not require heating or cooling. Please pack a re-fillable water bottle for your child. All food must be nut free.
Drop off/Pick Up Procedure
All children must be checked in and out through our front desk by a parent, guardian, or authorized escort. Authorized escorts must show valid ID upon pick up – even parents! If an escort that is not listed on your form needs to pick up your child, you must notify First Camp by email at jmason@fbcdecatur.com and they must show a valid photo ID. We cannot release any child to unlisted escorts.
Late Fees
Parents will be assessed a late fee of $15 every 15 minutes beginning at 5:30pm (5:30 - 5:45pm = $15, etc.).
Code of Conduct
We are committed to providing a safe and welcoming environment for all our participants, family members and guests. To ensure the safety and comfort for all, we ask individuals to act appropriately while they are in our facility or participating in a First Camp program. This applies to staff, participants, and their parents. We expect children to behave in a mature and responsible way and to respect the rights and dignity of others.
Our code of conduct does not permit language or action that can hurt or frighten another person or that falls below a generally accepted standard of conduct. Specifically, this includes:
Angry or vulgar language including swearing, name calling and shouting.
Physical contact with another person in an angry or threatening way.
Any demonstration of sexual activity or sexual contact with another person.
Harassment or intimidation with words, gestures, body language or other menacing behavior.
Behavior which extends to or results in the theft or destruction of property.
Carrying or concealing weapons or devices that may be used as weapons.
Please be responsible for your own personal conduct and safety. If someone’s behavior threatens your personal comfort or safety, please ask that person to refrain. Staff are trained and expected to respond to any reported violation of our code of conduct. Please do not hesitate to notify a staff person if you need assistance. We want to help!
First Camp Administration will investigate all reported incidents. Dismissal from a program may result from any violation of the code of conduct. No refunds will be given.
Discipline Policies
Our staff will work with children to help them resolve their own conflicts during the program. Parents will be informed of any safety related concerns, willful harm infractions or any repeated rule infraction by their child. Children with repeated disciplinary incidents relating to safety will be suspended. Children who continue to behave in unsafe or harmful ways may be expelled.
Behavior Management Plan
If your child has been receiving assistance in behavior management during the school year, it is imperative that this information be shared with the site director. This will enable us to work more effectively and productively with your child.
Cancellation Policies
Summer & Break Camp Cancellation Policy: Changes or Cancellations to registration for Summer and Break Camps must be made before April 1st to receive a full reimbursement minus credit card processing fee.
Payment Policy
Please note that our payment policy is that all Summer and Break Camps must be paid in full to hold a reservation. Once complete, you will receive a payment confirmation email.
Your privacy is very Important to us and your financial information is never transmitted to or saved by First Camp.
We Accept All Major Credit & Debit Cards
A nonrefundable processing fee will be applied when using a credit card for payment.
Waitlist
If a camp is sold out, you may place your child on the waiting list by submitting your email address on the sold out product’s details page. You will be notified via email when the camp is available for purchase.
Cancellation Policy
Summer & Break Camps: Changes or Cancellations to registration for Summer and Break Camps must be made before April 1st to receive a full reimbursement minus credit card processing fee.
Cancellations received 14 days before the start date of the camp session will result in a 75% refund. Cancellations made 7 days or less before the start date of the camp session will not be refunded.
All cancellations must be given in writing by email to jmason@fbcdecatur.com
Camp session transfers can be accommodated if space is available.
No refunds will be given due to inclement weather. This includes, but is not limited to hurricanes, and tropical storms.
Covid-19 Protocol
The safety and health of our students and staff are our priority. Our Covid policy will be continuously monitored for the latest changes and recommendations. We will adjust our policies as needed to keep our community safe and healthy.
We will closely monitor and adhere to CDC guidelines as well as the CSD school system, where the majority of our students attend.

One of the best things about summer is playing in the water. There are so many ways to enjoy the water with your little campers!
Water-themed activities: Splash Day! Creating a miniature aquarium, splash pads, water painting and other water activities.
